I guess this is my first time writing (typing?) about my travelling. I've always wanted to document my travellings in a special blog, although i already have a blog which is for my own private viewing only. Let's start fresh with our journey to Saigon (now known as Ho Chi Minh City). We, as in my cousin and I, the last time we traveled together was to Sydney in 2005, and here we are again travelling together just the two of us to Saigon. Flight tickets were booked 2 months in advanced and we decided on our national carrier MAS. Hotels were booked via my favourite online booking website Booking.com and why did i say hotels? Because i wanted to stay a cheap but nice hotel, and my cousin wanted to stay at a nice, comfy hotel (that's what she said) , so we booked one night at GK Central Hotel and two nights at Hotel Continental Saigon. GK Central is just a walking distance to the ever famous Ben Tanh Market, when i say walking distance, it's not as close as Saigon Pink 2 Hotel (famous among Malaysians) but the area is just nice not as crowded or hectic as Saigon Pink2, but we still manage to go back at least 2 times a day just to get some rest and go back to the market to continue what we did best (Shopping!). Hotel Continental Saigon is located next to the Opera House and surrounded by boutiques such as LV, Dior, etc. The hotel building is quite old but we just loved it.

Tan Son Nhat Airport, Ho Chi Minh City. Ada banyak taxi companies, but it is advisable to use Vinasun Taxi.
First day, kami stay di GK Central. My review is, walaupun jauh sikit (still walking distance, and kena lintas jalan) tapi hotel ni sangat selesa. Di lobby, boleh guna ada desktop boleh surf internet free. Kalau tak mau stay di area ramai Malaysians, boleh stay sini. Kami booked hotel ni through Booking.com. In fact memang everytime travel memang akan book through booking.com, sebab tak perlu bayar in advance, boleh guna credit atau debit card.
Hari Ke-2 dan Ke-3, kami pindah ke Hotel Continental, Saigon. Sebabnya partner yang sorang ni nak rasa stay kat hotel yang best sikit, tapi memang best pun, ala-ala colonial, old building, still maintained their heritage value. Hotel ni bersebelahan dengan Opera House and just walking distance dengan butik2 & shopping complex (tak ingat nama) but mostly barang-barang yang dijual semuanya branded stuff. Hotel ni pun kami booked through Booking.Com. Kalau nak shopping area Ben Tanh, not advisable to stay here, agak jauh.
One of the coffee shop yang kami masuk and minum coffee, tak ingat rasa sedap ke tak. Sedap kot, rasanya quite pricey, tapi rasanya boleh ja la try coffee yang jual kat area Ben Tanh yang naik motor. Next time will try that one pulak.
Ni Restoran yang memang famous di kalangan Malayians. Restoran ni pun dekat-dekat area yang ramai Malaysians stay. So, kami pun try makan Pho, Vietnamese cuisine. Sebenarnya harga makanan di Vietnam di agak mahal la jugak especially halal food, mungkin sebab demand tinggi kot, entahlah, tapi lagi sedap makan maggi kot. Tapi kalau nak try makan, makanan tempatan bolehlah try.
Night Market @ Pasar Malam. Lepas Ben Tanh tutup boleh sambung shopping kat night market pulak, barang-barang lebih kurang dalam pasar, tapi tak semua.
Tak ingat nama tempat ni but we went here to find football jerseys. Kat area ini memang semua kedai jual barangan sukan. We had a hard time explaining to the taxi driver, kesian kat pakcik taxi tu, kami cuma tunjuk gambar kedai yang kami jumpa dalam blog mana entah tak ingat, susah payah dia call kawan dia dan akhirnya sampai jugak.
Kedai ni agak famous among Malaysians, kami pun tak tau sebenarnya, tapi berapa kali lalu kedai ni, memang semua Malaysians ja pun dok kerumun. Kami pun tumpang sekaki beli kat sini, tapi ada jugak la kedai-kedai lain tapi mostly kat sini lah.
Post ni dah jadi caca merba, tak ikut hari sebab dah lama sangat kot terperam, dah lebih setahun so tak ingat sangat lah. Tapi trip kali ni memang kami beli kain saja (untuk diri sendiri) dan buat blouse which is considered cheap, RM60/sepasang (upah & kain) dan delivery sekali hantar ke hotel.
